Bottling

Lanchester Wines bottle all of our wines and spirits using our Greencroft Bottling facilities.

Greencroft Bottling Company was started in 2004, after a long process of procuring the specialist equipment and highly experienced staff needed for such a huge project.

The Process of Bottling

Our lines use the latest cutting edge technology to ensure the best possible conditions for the wine being bottled. De-aerators fill the empty bottle with nitrogen to remove the oxygen before the wine is bottled, keeping it as de-oxygenated as possible, increasing its longevity.

The bottles are filled and a cutting edge nitrogeniser blows a jet of nitrogen into the small airspace in the top of the bottle before it’s capped by the capper, removing any residual oxygen that could denature the wine. This attention to detail ensures that the bottled wine leaving Greencroft is in the best possible condition.
